About Us

Our Mission

At the forefront of our mission is producing the best quality products that are better for you and the planet. We grow food the way it’s supposed to be grown. Trust us, your body and your taste buds can tell the difference.

  • At The Roost Farm, we believe we have a responsibility to care for the land, not take from it. We use regenerative farming practices that combine indigenous farming methods with modern science. We use natural pest and weed control, use chlorine free water from our rain barrels, and plant to attract native pollinators because we believe clean food is the key to a better future for the earth and all its inhabitants.

  • “I can confidently say you are not going to find better quality eggs than ours anywhere. I know what we feed them, and I know our quality control.” Hens at The Roost get unlimited forage, fresh fruits and veggies, and high quality feed that packs their eggs with vitamins. Additionally, each egg is inspected, weighed and looked at under a light before it ever touches a carton.

  • No misleading labels like “cage free” or “free range.” No culling older animals. No unsustainable practices. You can be sure that every product from our farm is made in a way that is best for people, the earth, and the animals.

OuR story

In 2020, our family found what could only be described as a hidden treasure while house hunting – a beautiful, white brick house on 3 acres of land in the old part of a rapidly expanding Texas suburb. We moved in that Christmas, and The Roost Farm Company was born. We have always been nature enthusiasts and animal lovers, but this new place gave us the opportunity to fully explore those passions.

Our foster cats became a permanent part of the family. We adopted a dog from the land’s previous owners. We bought a horse, and a trailer – and a tractor. We brought home 6 chickens, which turned into 12, which turned into 40, then 80, and watched as our small garden blossomed into a full blown greenhouse tunnel. We knew the cracked clay and overgrazed fields would take a lot of nurturing to support any sort of crops, but we were willing to try.

This rehabilitation project dragged us headfirst into the world of regenerative farming. Horrified to learn how destructive the food we eat was to both our planet and our health, we decided to fully embrace sustainable agriculture. With hundreds of hours of research down, and many more to go, we now hope to share both our passion and our knowledge with as many people as we can. Whether through fostering community, teaching about sustainability, or providing clean food, we believe that making a difference starts on the farm.
